The following statement can be attributed to The Education Trust–New York Executive Director Ian Rosenblum:
“This year’s achievement results show continued progress statewide, with the greatest gains for Black and Latino students. With a vast and growing majority of parents continuing to have their children participate in the state assessments, now is the time to pursue a strong equity agenda that includes Next Generation Learning Standards, rigorous assessments, necessary support and resources, and meaningful accountability in order to sustain and accelerate these learning gains, particularly for low-income students and students of color.”
