Building a Statewide Equity Narrative

Our work impacts New York’s child care and public education systems, economy, workforce, and much more.

As such, it is crucial to convene statewide coalitions and collaborate with parents, students, civil rights, education, and business organizations to co-create policy and maximize our impact. We also uplift students and families to share their lived experiences and invest in their leadership, to inform systemic policy change and implementation.

By centering the voices and experiences of students of color, particularly Black, Latinx, Native American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander students and families, and those from low-income backgrounds, we create a statewide narrative that is rooted in racial and economic equity.
